Project Analyst

Planning and Projects is responsible for strategic planning, fleet planning, business analysis, ship sale and purchase, newbuilding analysis, and providing high-level business support to the Tanker management team. It prepares business cases and financial models to evaluate proposed projects and develops these into board cases in close liaison with business managers. It supports the business with markets research focused on competitor analysis, product flows, and economic development. The Project Analyst will be involved in most of these tasks


  1. Evaluating and developing business cases for proposed ship transactions and other capital transactions
  2. Maintaining analytical and reporting databases
  3. Perform business analyses (standard and ad-hoc), including general industry competitors and macroeconomics research/ analysis
  4. Creating and maintaining standard analysis templates
  5. Support negotiations and document preparation for sale and purchase transactions
  6. Assist in development of decision support processes and tools
  7. Support the preparation of material for the Board meetings and Tanker Management Committee meetings



·         Degree from a maritime college or University and preferably an MBA or exposure to finance;



·         Previous experience in shipping or relevant planning, analysis, or business development experience, is a plus;


Specific Skills

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

·         Strong computer applications skills, including project management and presentation tools;

·         Ability and willingness to travel as required.

·         Ability to work on own initiative with a minimum of supervision, while maintaining open and clear communications with the rest of the

          team and other stakeholders;

·         Must be comfortable working with all levels of management across all departments of the company;

·         Must demonstrate ability to develop creative and innovative solutions
