For our Business Technologies team we are recruiting an Infrastructure Support Specialist to join the team.


The goal for Business Technologies is to support the SNL Divisions in their strategic goals by delivering stable & scalable systems based on best practice processes which improve operational efficiency & data quality thus providing decision makers with accurate real time information, facilitating optimal asset utilization at highest revenues, while operating as a fully integrated part of the SNL team & making a positive contribution to the company’s success.


The Infrastructure Support Specialist - Networks is primarily responsible for providing global WAN/LAN/WIFI connectivity, associated services and technologies and security services throughout the global ICT landscape. Maintain stable operation of the network, including planning, developing, installing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all existing networks and security services, monitor network for stability and proper configuration, prompt resolution of network related incidents and effective problem management. Maintain the security of the network infrastructure and recommend network improvements. This includes operational vendor management of outsourced service providers and technology vendors. This person is also responsible for providing Level 2/3 hands-on network support to the regional Infrastructure support teams and act as subject matter expert and technical team lead to all level 2 Engineers in the respective regions. Specific networks centric project (i.e. office relocation, life-cycle replacement project etc.) are part of the responsibility.


  • Resolve incident and problem tickets within defined service level agreements. This includes ownership and management of incident and problem tickets assigned to 3rd party support and/or solution providers. Identify chronic network problems and develop solutions/repairs.
  • Plan, design, maintain and implement network access, security, and services, including hardware, associated operating systems and software according to global blueprint. Own the design/blueprint.
  • Vendor Management (both service and IT procurement related) of all local/regional contracts including Monthly KPI review for the major contracts.
  • Plan initiate and execute networks related project such as life-cycle replacement, office relocation and/or expansion and office integration (part of M&A projects) on a global scale.
  • Act as subject matter expert and technical team lead to all Infrastructure Support Specialists in the region and ensure compliance to BT global processes and standards.


  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
  • Valid CCNA certification is a must
  • CCNP certification is highly desired (and must be obtained)
  • Practical experience with ITIL and Prince2 (foundation level) is required, Certification is highly desired.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an international environment
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with the proven ability to mentor junior engineers
  • Extensive OS/application support experience with LAN/WAN/WIFI and security networking protocols and knowledge of IP and routing protocols with in-depth hands-on experiences in configurations and maintaining complex network configurations.
  • In-depth experience in working in, and managing of outsources partners and technology vendors in an operational but service oriented manner.
  • Working technical knowledge of network and security systems and services; Cisco routing and switching, good understanding of BGP configuration, firewall and proxy services and advanced DNS and IP knowledge. Some specific technology knowledge required: Windows 10 (BranchCash / DirectAccess), PKI, SDWAN (based on Velocloud and Aryaka, DOT1X authentication, ZScaler and TMG (reverse Proxy) with an increasing focus on security technologies.
